米国OneLogin社（以下、OneLogin）は、現地時間2015年12月7日（月）に米国Cafesoft社（以下、Cafesoft）を買収したことを発表しました。Cafesoftは、アメリカ国防総省、アメリカ航空宇宙局(NASA)、OpenText社、ARM社などを顧客とするオンプレミスベースのIAMソリューションを提供する会社です。OneLoginはCafesoftの技術を活用し、クラウドとオンプレミスが混在する企業IT環境に対応する新しい機能を追加、強化します。

＜主な追加・強化機能＞
● 仮想LDAPサーバー機能 ~ vLDAP ~
OneLoginがマスターディレクトリとなり、クラウドアプリケーション・オンプレミスアプリケーションからのLDAP接続を受け入れます。これにより、いままでActiveDirectoryやLDAPの構築が必要だったお客さまも導入コストや工数をゼロにできます。
※vLDAP機能は2016年初頭の提供開始を予定しております。

● RADIUSサーバー機能 ~ RADIUS ~
OneLoginがRADIUSサーバーとなり、VPNサーバーや無線LANシステムにおけるユーザー認証を行うことができます。この機能は以前から提供しておりますが、今回のアップデートにより、EAP/TTLSなどのより強化された認証スキーマへの対応や、OTPによる二要素認証への対応が実現しました。
※日本時間 12月11日18時現在、機能アップデートは実装済みです。

OneLogin CEOのThomas Pedersenは、「OneLoginの目標は、クラウド・オンプレミスにかかわらず社内情報に触れる全てのID情報を管理することだ」と述べ、「Cafesoftの技術と融合した新しい認証インターフェースは、企業内IT環境のより深いところをもカバーし、スピードと完全性を持つ新しい段階に到達する」とも発表した。

ONELOGIN ENHANCES ITS CLOUD-BASED IAM SOLUTION FOR ENTERPRISES WITH HYBRID ON-PREMISE AND CLOUD ENVIRONMENTS THROUGH ACQUISITION OF CAFÉSOFT

As enterprises with large on-premise IT infrastructures migrate to the cloud, OneLogin’s new hybrid capabilities ensure that the legacy IT is not left behind

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – December 7, 2015 – OneLogin, the identity management provider bringing speed and integrity to the modern enterprise, is launching a new set of capabilities addressing the needs of enterprises with hybrid on-premise and cloud-based IT environments. In addition to new RADIUS and LDAP interfaces, OneLogin has also acquired San Diego-based Cafésoft, a provider of on-premise Web Access Management (WAM) software.

OneLogin’s cloud-based Identity & Access Management (IAM) solution has been deployed by thousands of organizations ranging from fast-growing tech unicorns to multinational enterprises with 10,000s or 100,000s of employees. The consistent feedback from larger enterprises with more complex IT environments has been that they would prefer IAM vendors who are able to handle both their cloud-based applications and their on-premise applications.

The new LDAP service allows enterprises to connect to OneLogin’s cloud directory via the LDAP protocol, which expands OneLogin’s coverage of applications beyond those that support federation through SAML and WS-Trust.

The new RADIUS service supports the full RADIUS protocol and strong authentication methods, such as EAP-TTLS. Enterprises can use this capability within corporate network devices, such as VPNs and WiFi access points.

“Cloud-focused IAM providers are under increasing pressure to deliver a unified and secure way to ensure compliance across all of an enterprise’s technology investments, both cloud and on-premise,” said Garrett Bekker, 451 Research senior security analyst. “OneLogin’s melding of cloud with legacy and on-premise solutions can help provide greater security and compliance for the many firms that are pursuing a hybrid cloud strategy.”

In addition to these new interfaces, OneLogin has completed the acquisition San Diego-based Cafésoft, a provider of Web Access Management (WAM) software with customers such as NASA, Department of Defense, OpenText, ARM, Panda Restaurant Group and TiVo. The company’s WAM solution provides the security middleware to easily integrate identity into heterogeneous web environments.

The technology allows OneLogin to provide a more comprehensive identity solution for hybrid environments, including simplified on-premise Web Access Management (WAM) and a complete replacement for CA Single Sign-On (formerly CA SiteMinder®), Oracle Access Manager and others.
